OUR STORY
Back in the early 60’s Mary Knopp became the caretaker of a family member in her own home. Mary was good at this work, and soon began caring for other elderly residents of Fredericksburg. She added on to her home to accommodate others, and with the help of her daughter, Irene, would officially open for business in 1965. Irene was a brilliant visionary that realized the enduring potential for growth in the community. Today, over a half-century later, the front door of Knopp Healthcare opens where Mary Knopp’s house once stood, as we are still practicing her vision of helping those in need.
Still family owned, and still family operated.
Jane Perry is the granddaughter of Mary Rose Knopp, and President of Knopp Healthcare.
Photographed here with granddaughter, Ava at our residents' Christmas Party.
